Johannes Ernst’s proposal for a simpler FOAF.

I’m all for it – I never got the hang of FOAF due to it’s complexity. Jim, what’s your take?

  1. I can see the desire for something easy to use, but I think he’s throwing the baby out with the bath water.

    For really simple FOAF, the Foaf Explorer and its ilk will allow someone to create and maintain a simple RDF FOAF file.

    Having yet another arbitary XML format just adds to the confusion, if you want it to be simple just use some of the many Foaf tools to write, modify, and validate your FOAF file.

    Which reminds me, mine’s a little out of date…
