Evan Williams founds Odeo

Wow. This has got to be the first commercial podcasting idea. At least I haven’t seen Adam Curry publish his, or even bring them to life.

Here’s from Ev’s blog:

Dave Winer (of course…) has some remarks, too. And he’s probably right – at this time, I can’t see anything more than iPodder, ipodder.org and audio.weblogs.com. But perhaps they manage to make it a wee bit more accessible for the common man. I mean – OPML show notes? Pulleeese…

  3. What I don’t like about Dave’s remark is the “idea hijacking” aspect.

    I think both, Dave Winer and Adam Curry, have the know how and money to fund such a venture themselves. In fact, from reading earlier postings of Dave I conclude he consciously made the decision to not start a podcasting business.
