Eat this, Bill: free MP3s are good for media sales

The german newspaper “Die Zeit” has an article that describes how the free MP3 of “Schnappi, das kleine Krokodil” (Schnappi, the little crocodile) made it to the top of germany’s CD single charts, although it is freely available for download.

You just have to agree with the article: “maybe it’s time for the record companies to re-think their strategies”.

You bet it is.
