Everybody in the Symbian world has anticipated the landing of the Nokia 6630 in the last few weeks.
Can you imagine my surprise when I read Russ’s mini-review: only 7 meg usable RAM on the phone, and yet another braindead memory card type (Dual Voltage Reduced Size Multimedia Card (DVRS-MMC)) – that you can’t even buy right now???
I have heard winters are depressing in finland, but do you need to suck that hard? Who do you think buys your new bleeding edge phone? Exactly: the same people who were the first to buy the 6600, the 7610 and all your other phones one might call “prototypes”. So these are the people who not only have to migrate all their apps over to the new phone, which is a hard job because you allowed developers to spray settings all over the file system – no, you can’t even just move the card over, because you’ve never heard the expression “backwards compatibility”.
Nokia, as much as I might want to like the 6630: THIS SUCKS.
