Siemens x65: finally a decent calendar

(Pictures courtesy of club-siemens.net)

As much as I’d like to use my mobile phone to track appointments, I have never been happy with recent implementations. My biggest gripe always was that even on phones with big displays, like the Series 60 phones, week view only consisted of unlabeled bars, and you had to click back and forth to see the actual entry.

The new Siemens x65 series finally have a better implementation: they display the text entries in two lines under the weekly or monthly overview. That is still far away from the Psion Agenda, which would be my reference implementation, but it is at least usable for me.

Can anyone tell me why it is so hard to do something remotely similar on Series 60, where so much Psion knowledge should be available?
