Loading ...Oh crap – as if I didn’t get enough stuff to divide my attention already: Jaiku allows you to add other feeds that will get published through Jaiku, too.
Some people add Twitter feeds in order to avoid having to manage two microblogging tools.
Unfortunately, some of the people use a tool to get their Jaikus to Twitter.
This way, I get some people’s Tweets/Jaikus three or four times.
Example:
gerikson: jaiku: bad car day http://tinyurl.com/2fdyk6 and 4 more
Fetched from Twitter / Martin Little with friends. 2 hours, 41 minutes ago.
I have both Martin and Gustaf in my contacts, so I’d get their Jaikus anyway. Not even mentioning that I’m also following both on Twitter…
Oh, and one more thing: of course most of my Twitter contacts replicate to Facebook, too, where I get to read them in my Facebook feed.
The social network madness continues. Time for the bubble to burst and consolidate.

Dude, I feel your pain. I’m trying hard to keep the noise to a minimun, using Jaiku as the primary input and echoing to Twitter. You might try to bug Martin about it, or unsubscribe from that part of his feed.
Hmmm, I only post to Twitter and Facebook, and then Jaiku picks up the Twitter feed. I’ll take a look and see if I can sort that, Frank.
Hi guys, worked out what was going wrong. In my Jaiku, I added my Twitter feed ‘Martin Little with friends’, taken from the front page of Twitter, instead of the ‘martinlittle’ feed. See here for more details: http://help.twitter.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=24
Now I’ve added just the ‘martinlittle’ feed, but Jaiku is telling me I don’t own the ‘Martin Little with friends’ feed, so I can’t remove it from my profile. Hopefully it’s just a glitch and will magically fix itself overnight.
Now fixed. Maybe need to give jimh a nudge too.
