Fujitsu LIFEBOOK E Series E8110: Hibernate does not work

I got my new company notebook two weeks ago. The first thing I noticed is that none of the power saving functionality worked (stand by, hibernate), which is a major PITA for a consultant.

A colleague (thanks Marko!) pointed me to this Microsoft hotfix which solved the problem.

“Install this update to fix a situation where the computer does not hibernate and you receive an “Insufficient System Resources Exist to Complete the API” error message.”

Works like a charm now.
