heise online reports (in german) that there are some members of the european parliament that are ouraged about the lack of support for their Apple Macintosh iBooks or PowerBooks.
Apparently they can only access the parliaments intranet by running a Windows emulation on the Macs, for “security reasons” (can you spot the irony?).
Regarding web access, they were told to dial-up with the in-built modems.
Remember, the EU Commission is still trying to go after Microsoft on antitrust grounds.
One of the MPs mentioned that it would be easier for him to get internet access in a hotel in Malaysia than in his office in Berlin. Go figure.
